Siliken Will Build a 6.9 MW PV Plant for Fotowatio in Blanca (Murcia, Spain)

December 28, 2009. The turnkey installation will be completed in May 2010

Siliken has entered into an agreement with Fotowatio to set up a photovoltaic plant of 6.9 MW in the town of Blanca, Murcia (Spain). Siliken will deliver this project as a turnkey project which willbe completed in May 2010.
With 6.9 MW power, the installation will consist of 30,230 Siliken SLK60P6L modules of 230 Wp and three-phase Siliken and SMA inverters. The plant will have the capacity to inject yearly 9,7 GWh into the grid. This will avoid the emission of 5,600 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere –compared to the power production by means of combined cycles of natural gas– or the generation of 5,511 mm highly active radioactive waste.
In this project, Siliken will use a slab footing construction with a 30º angle, formed by horizontal rows of three modules. This plant will be connected to five additional 1 MW plants already constructed for Fotowatio in Puglia, Italy, whose grid connection and operational kickoff is projected for early 2010.
