Siliken presented its new products to the visitors of Intersolar 2009, the International Solar Technology Fair and Conference. As one of the leading Spanish manufacturers of photovoltaic equipment, SILIKEN was present at the Munich fair from 27 to 29 May with its Siliken Deutschland team and a stand at which the company displayed its products and services.

At this fair, Siliken, in addition to its standard and architectural integration photovoltaic modules with acknowledged reputation, which offer new features and improved efficiency, also displayed its inverters and, as a novelty, new structures for ground-mounted and rooftop modules, electric boards and string monitors, as well as a new mini air generator.

In addition to these products, Siliken also offered a direct promotion of turnkey installations and projects (EPC) for ground and rooftop installations.  This also was the first time that the company exhibited at the fair as a producer of purified silicon, as Siliken is about to open its silicon purification plant to integrate the production process in the PV value chain.

Since its opening, Siliken Deutschland has been enlarging its sales team and offering internships. Currently, it has offices in Berlin and Bad Homburg (Frankfurt). From there, it develops and expands its network of collaborators focusing on sales and support to the photovoltaic market as well as dedicating special attention to the needs of clients and strengthening its staff.  Turnkey projects for inverters are one of the specialities of Siliken Deutschland.

 

Siliken’s photovoltaic modules are made of monocrystalline and polycrystalline silicon and are famous for their quality, efficiency, robustness, guarantee and durability. They are applied in both stand-alone systems and in grid connections, photovoltaic plants, industrial roofs, architectural integration or home installations. Furthermore, they offer power levels ranging from 8 to 245 WP with efficiency rates of up to 14.5%. This quality has been recognized by the company's customers, who have completed their installations with a reliable and lasting product, since the minimum service life of this product is 25 years and any deterioration or reduction in efficiency has a direct effect on the return on investment.

Siliken also offers technical consultancy services to all its customers and installers as an added value, solving any doubts on photovoltaic systems and installations with an after-sales service that is fast and effective. In addition to the product itself, the Valencia-based producer supplies the entire range of accessories required to start up an installation.

The SILIKEN stand was visited by sector professionals and prospect end customers interested in renewable energy forms.  The expectations the company hopes to meet in this edition of Intersolar include the discovery of new market needs and trends, the consolidation of its contact portfolio, setting up new relations and, of course, display its products and reinforce its corporate image.

Intersolar is a consolidated fair; 1050 companies with direct exhibitors participated in its last edition.In 2008, 52,000 professionals from 140 countries were present at the fair’s 75,000 sq.m. Therefore, this event has become a unique venue, able to attract the solar sector.

 

Siliken was founded in 2001 and in the same year received the Best Business Initiative of The Year Award. Since then the company has evolved rapidly. In 2004, the company billed over 5 million Euros, increasing to 152 million Euros in 2007 and 400 million Euros in 2008. In that same year, Siliken produced 92MW in photovoltaic modules and inverters in its Spanish (Valencia, Albacete and Tenerife) and US production plants (San Diego).
