Siliken finalizes a 1.3-MWn photovoltaic farm in Arico (Tenerife)

Dec. 10, 2009. The installation was completed in six months

Siliken continues to increase its portfolio of installations with the construction of a new, 1.3-MW photovoltaic solar farm in Arico (Tenerife). The “Arisol” farm was built under the EPC mode, one of Siliken’s specialties.

At 1.45 MWp, this installation combines 6240 of Siliken’s 230- and 235-Wp SLK60P6L modules. With this power, it is capable of injecting 2.56 GWh annually onto the power grid, which is equivalent to 2213 tons of CO2 that are not emitted into the atmosphere using this method of clean energy generation, in comparison with energy production using a gas combined-cycle plant.

The Arisol farm uses low-power single phase inverters and includes a system for monitoring the entire farm using SCADA software developed by Siliken. Like all our farms, it is also equipped with its own weather station.

This project started in June, and the construction work, which started in September, is now almost complete. Structures on a footing with a 15º inclination have been used at this installation.
